It took me a while, but with the help of Vickie, I found it - The Parthenon. You could find a better picture by running a search on Google, but why do that when you could see the top of it via Google Earth satellite instead? I really wish they would stop showing pictures of mutilated, dead bodies of hurricane victims on CNN. Seriously. No matter how sensitive they say they're trying to be, it doesn't change the fact that those were real people, with families and friends who cared about them. I don't think it's anyone's business to be displaying pictures of them, dead, on the evening news. It's disrespectful. I certainly don't think they'd be showing pictures of their loved ones like that. They say it's their freedom to report what's happening. Please. If they were just trying to keep the public informed, they could tell us without showing pictures. Bah... It just makes me sick. It's always bothered me when people's personal tragedies have been made into news stories. I know that people should know what's happening in their world, and I know pictures bring the point across better than words. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive. Still, I feel the media is stepping over a line with this. My head still hurts, though I took some extra strength tylenol a couple hours ago. I think I'm going to go take something stronger. Maybe sitting here at the computer isn't the best thing for me to be doing, anyway. I'm very tempted to go bake some cookies.... I think it's because it was colder outside today. What's the connection? I'm not really sure, except hot cookies and cold weather seem to go well together. Current Mood: blah Current Music: random jazz
